Issue: Elementor – Unable to edit sections, widgets after update

Issue: Unable to edit sections or add/edit widgets – keeps loading. Sometimes, we have faced this issue even after enabling Safe mode in Elementor. When there is a plugin conflict, then we can enable Safe mode in Elementor and do the edits. But at times, due to theme and essential plugins we will not be in a position to enable safe mode. So the following fixes worked fine for us.

Solution 1: Revert to Previous version of Elementor

Solution 2: Change “Container” from Default to Active.

Solution 1: Here’s how to revert to Previous version of Elementor

In your WordPress Admin Dashboard, Go to Elementor and then to Tools and then to Version Control tab. Select any previous version number from the drop-down list and then click “Reinstall v3…” button. Wait for a few minutes for the re-install. If you are still unable to edit the pages/posts then try with a previous version of Elementor. You have to decide which version works better for your environment.

Solution 2: Here is how to change “Container” from Default to Active.

In your WordPress Admin Dashboard, Go to Elementor and then to Settings and to “Features” tab.  Under Stable features, select “Container” option and change from default to Active as shown in the screenshot below.
