Bengal gram dhall : |

Tamarind juice : |
4 tbsp |
fresh coriander,chopped : |

Method
of Preparation :

In a saucepan, cook the bengal gram dhall
in the water until the grains are tender but not mushy. Put aside without
draining away any excess water.
Heat the oil in a deep saucepan. Fry the chillies, onion, garlic, ginger,
curry leaves, chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
Add the cooked dhall with water and bring to a boil. Add the tamarind juice,
tomatoes and fresh coriander. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
